The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Monday, Intel (INTC.US) rose more than 5% to $94.87. According to the news, J.P. Morgan Chase upgraded Intel's stock rating from “reduced holdings” to “neutral,” citing improvements at the executive level after CEO Chen Liwu took office, and the growing demand for AI computing is expected to support profit growth.

Analyst Haran Suhr said that despite the market's short-term concerns about the sustainability of AI infrastructure spending, the increase in intelligent AI workloads (CPU-intensive) and the extremely tight supply of leading process chips should continue to drive up earnings per share expectations in the upcoming earnings season and even the 2027 fiscal year (the bank's forecast for earnings per share for the 2028 fiscal year is about 15% higher than the market's consensus forecast).
