BASF, HSCC Mull Combination of European Activities Across Polyamide 6 Value Chain

09:08 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BASF (BAS.F) and China-based Highsun Holding Group, or HSCC, are exploring a potential 50/50 joint venture in the polyamide 6 value chain under a newly signed memorandum of understanding. The German chemicals company said Monday the parties are discussing the merger of their European activities across the value chain, as well as the addition of their global extrusion activities outside North America to the venture. Meanwhile, the engineering plastics downstream businesses of the companies are excluded. BASF and HSCC have set up project teams for the potential collaboration.
