01:28 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mwb Research expects "solid" fiscal fourth-quarter performance from Infineon Technologies (IFX.F), although analysts see "limited" scope for a "material" surprise as market focus is expected to pivot to the fiscal 2027 outlook. "Strong AI power demand, improving industrial conditions and higher utilization should drive a meaningful acceleration in earnings, although our FY27 revenue growth and margin forecasts remain below consensus. We see scope for management to raise its FY27 AI revenue ambition to EUR 3.0bn, supported by sustained demand, capacity expansion and improved pricing. However, Dresden ramp-up costs, persistent automotive headwinds and an uneven industrial recovery could constrain margin expansion. With the stock trading at ~16.0x 2027E EV/Segment Result, already reflecting a substantial earnings recovery, we believe a sustained re-rating will depend on stronger margin conversion beyond AI," according to an earnings preview note. For fiscal 2027, the research firm projects annual revenue growth of 19% and a segment result margin of 24%, with both estimates below consensus at 21.5% and 25.3%, respectively. Ahead of the German semiconductor maker's fiscal fourth-quarter financial results on Nov. 10, mwb maintained the stock's hold rating and price target of 60 euros, noting the current share price reflects a "broadly balanced" risk-reward profile.
