Assa Abloy to Divest HID Unit's Public Key Infrastructure Business

11:40 PM EDT, 10/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Assa Abloy (ASSA-B.ST) agreed to sell the public key infrastructure business of its HID subsidiary, which manufactures secure identity products, to Vista Equity Partners. The Swedish access systems company said Oct. 16 that the PKI unit provides software for digital trust, identity, authentication, encryption and certificate management, including IdenTrust, HydrantID, and ZeroSSL. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.
