01:32 AM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Poland and Taiwan's hydrogen industry associations signed a memorandum of understanding to drive joint research and development and commercial deployment, according to a Friday release. The agreement aims to establish a framework for regular exchanges, focusing on areas such as hydrogen-powered drones, distributed power generation systems, and industrial park applications. The initiative is intended to accelerate both nations' low-carbon transition efforts. Poland's Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley Association and the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research signed the pact at the third bilateral hydrogen energy working group meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, on Thursday. During the visit, Polish energy giant Orlen (PKN.WA) joined the national delegation at Energy Taiwan to explore supply chain partnerships and commercial opportunities with Taiwanese peers.
