Ripple has expanded its institutional prime brokerage services to support 24/7 trading of real-world asset (RWA) perpetual swaps across more than 100 markets.

Ripple Prime now supports RWA swaps linked to equities, equity indices, ETFs, metals, energy and forex markets, allowing institutions to manage exposure beyond traditional exchange hours.

Ripple Prime acts as principal for these transactions on all days including weekends.

Michael Higgins, International CEO of Ripple Prime, said the offering bridges traditional and digital markets by allowing institutions to execute sophisticated trading strategies.

How Does RLUSD Improve Capital Efficiency?

Ripple Prime allows institutional clients to use Ripple USD (CRYPTO: RLUSD) as collateral for RWA swaps while cross-margining positions against other supported asset classes.

The arrangement consolidates margin requirements, counterparty relationships and risk management, potentially improving capital efficiency.

Virtu is among the institutions already trading these products.

What’s Next For Ripple Prime?

Ripple highlighted rapid year-to-date growth in trading volumes of perpetual futures linked to RWAs as institutional demand for continuous market access increases.

The new offering is currently available through Ripple Prime’s CIV BVI license, with plans to expand into additional regions.

The launch strengthens Ripple’s push into institutional financial infrastructure.
