07:36 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RBC Capital Markets updated its model for ABN Amro Bank (ABN.AS), revising its estimates ahead of the Dutch lender's third-quarter results set for release Nov. 11. For the third quarter, the research firm forecasts ABN Amro's net profit will reach 736 million euros, up from the year-ago 620 million euros, according to a Wednesday note. Net interest income is also anticipated to climb over the period to 1.78 billion euros from 1.58 billion euros. The research firm raised its EPS forecast by 2% for 2027 and 1% for 2028 as it took into account higher net interest income assumptions with no related increase in costs. "In an uncertain environment, ABN's investment case, which is underpinned by improving returns largely based on self-help plus its gearing to higher rates, continues to positively stand out," analysts said. "We expect ABN will revise its FY 2026 commercial NII guidance but suspect that ABN prefers to take a conservative approach (eg volatility clearing NII) potentially phrasing the 2026 guidance like above EUR6.8bn vs approx. EUR6.8bn currently. More of the benefits from higher rates should be seen in later years, but we expect ABN only to revisit longer term guidance with FY 2026 results." The outperform-rated stock's price target of 45 euros was maintained.
