UK Trade Deficit Expands in Quarter to August

02:18 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Britain's total goods and services trade deficit in the three months to August grew by 1.4 billion pounds sterling to 8 billion pounds, the Office for National Statistics said Thursday. The UK's goods trade deficit rose by 2.5 billion pounds to 59.1 billion pounds, while the services trade surplus increased by 1.1 billion pounds to 51.1 billion pounds.
