Modus Therapeutics Pauses Enrollment in Sevuparin Kidney Disease Study After Serious Adverse Event

12:58 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Modus Therapeutics (MODTX.ST) temporarily paused enrollment in the second part of the phase IIa study of sevuparin in chronic kidney disease with anemia, after a patient had a serious adverse event. The Swedish biotech company said Wednesday the pause was a voluntary precaution and the incident was reported to regulatory authorities. It added it is evaluating causality with investigators and the study's safety committee. Modus expects the pause to delay the first results of the study to the first quarter of 2027 from around the end of 2026.
