Pila Pharma Begins Execution of New Trial for XEN-D0501 in Obesity

12:46 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pila Pharma (PILA.ST) began the execution phase of its PP-CT04 clinical study of XEN-D0501 as a treatment for people with obesity. The clinical-stage biotechnology company said Wednesday the study will assess the safety, tolerability, absorption, and efficacy of the oral TRPV1 antagonist in obesity. The two-part randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will take 12 weeks. The dosing of the first two trial participants marked the start of the first part, which will involve eight participants in total.
