Kelington unit bags RM128mil Kuching project

PETALING JAYA: Kelington Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd (KTSB), has been awarded another contract, valued at RM128mil, in connection with a manufacturing firm’s expansion project in Kuching.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the customer, based in the Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone, had hired it for the design and build of an ultra-high-purity Deionised Water Generation and Wastewater Treatment Plant systems, for an advanced data storage manufacturing facility.

The new award is expected to commence immediately and be completed by April 28. With the latest win, the aggregate value of contracts and purchase orders secured by KTSB from the customer for the project will increase from approximately RM416mil to around RM544mil.

KTSB expects to continue securing further contracts from the customer, covering various scopes of work in relation to the project.
