German Annual Inflation Confirmed at 3.3% in September

02:10 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Confirming the flash estimate, Germany's annual inflation rate ticked up to 3.3% in September from 2.9% in August, final data from the country's Federal Statistical Office showed Tuesday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.6%, matching the preliminary reading and against the previous 0.2% uptick. The annual harmonized inflation rates for August were also confirmed at 3.3%, compared with 2.9% earlier. Meanwhile, harmonized consumer prices were affirmed to be 0.6% higher month over month, against the previous reading of a 0.2% gain.
