Pila Pharma Doses First Two Subjects in 12-week Obesity Treatment Trial

10:57 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pila Pharma (PILA.ST) dosed the first two subjects of its 12-week trial assessing the safety and efficacy of drug candidate XEN-D0501 in obese participants. The PP-CT04 trial is designed to test a within-subject dose titration approach to reach expected therapeutic plasma concentrations of XEN-D0501 that have not been studied before, according to a Monday release. One of the two participants received the active treatment while the other received a placebo, with each dose to be increased individually from 4 milligrams twice daily up to a maximum of 16-mg twice daily, with one week at each level. The Swedish clinical-stage biotech company's trial, conducted in collaboration with Clinical Trial Consultants, is divided into two parts, with the same overall design.
