Eni to Transfer 10% Interest in Gas Production Sharing Contracts in Indonesia's Kutei Basin

12:49 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italian energy group Eni (ENI.MI) agreed to sell a 10% non-operating participating interest in four production sharing contracts in Indonesia's Kutei Basin to local energy and natural resources company PT Medco Energi Internasional. The gas production sharing contracts, operated by a joint venture between Eni and Malaysia's PETRONAS, feature a portfolio of producing, development, and exploration assets, including the recent Geliga discovery, according to a Monday release. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.
