Saudi Arabia's Annual Industrial Production Falls 23.5% in August

02:24 AM EDT, 10/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Saudi Arabia's industrial production index declined 23.5% year over year in August, following a revised 8.3% drop in July, data from the General Authority for Statistics showed Sunday. The decrease was mainly driven by lower mining, quarrying and manufacturing activities. On a monthly basis, the index was down 14.1%.
