Irvine, California-based Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (SWKS), with a market capitalization of approximately $12.5 billion, is a semiconductor company that develops analog and mixed-signal chips for wireless connectivity. Its solutions serve smartphones, automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial, medical, broadband and other connected applications worldwide.
SWKS is set to report its Q4 earnings soon. Ahead of the release, analysts expect the company to report diluted EPS of 90 cents, down 36.6% from $1.42 in the year-ago quarter. That said, SWKS has exceeded Wall Street’s EPS estimates in each of the past four quarters, which is impressive.
For fiscal 2026, analysts expect SWKS to report EPS of $3.62, reflecting a 21.1% decrease from $4.59 in fiscal 2025.
SWKS stock has gained 12.2% over the past 52 weeks, trailing both the S&P 500 Index ($SPX), which returned 16.2%, and the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK), which posted a 41% gain over the same period.
Skyworks Solutions’ slowing growth and deteriorating profitability have weighed on investor sentiment and contributed to its weaker stock performance over the past year. Sales have declined 4.2% annually over the past two years, while Wall Street expects revenue to remain flat over the next 12 months. Meanwhile, the company’s inability to adjust its cost structure as revenue declined has contributed to a 19.6 percentage point drop in operating margin over the past five years.
More recently, investor concerns over the integration and execution risks surrounding its combination with Qorvo, Inc. (QRVO) added to the pressure. On October 5, SWKS shares fell 2.8% after Skyworks Solutions completed the transaction to form a specialized semiconductor business. While the combined company is expected to generate annual cost synergies of $500 million or more and immediately boost non-GAAP EPS, integration concerns weighed on the stock.
Analysts remain neutral on SWKS, with the stock carrying a consensus "Hold" rating. Of the 24 analysts covering the stock, three recommend a "Strong Buy," 19 rate it a "Hold," one recommends a "Moderate Sell," and one recommends a "Strong Sell." Meanwhile, SWKS is currently trading at $83.43, above the average analyst price target of $74.12.
