06:00 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AlphaValue/Baader Europe believes Sika (SIKA.SW) is well-placed for medium-term growth, citing efficiency gains from the specialty chemicals company's ongoing cost-saving program and opportunities in the electric vehicle battery industry. The research firm said Wednesday it had improved visibility regarding Sika's "Fast Forward" cost-saving program, which analysts believe is on track to deliver 80 million francs in savings in full-year 2026 and between 90 million francs and 110 million francs in 2027. Additionally, AlphaValue/Baader Europe expects regional drag in Asia-Pacific to lessen between 2027 and 2028, fueled by a stabilizing Chinese construction market and a projected 15% compound annual growth rate in EV batteries through 2030. The research firm noted that the latter offers "meaningful upside" amid "relatively limited competition and attractive pricing." "Sika is well positioned with Chinese OEMs, supported by its reliable supply footprint and ability to accompany customers internationally where regulatory requirements are more demanding," the research firm wrote. "Overall, despite near-term pressure from residential construction and China, we see stronger medium-term potential from cost savings, infrastructure/refurbishment demand and batteries, supporting our Add recommendation." Accordingly, AlphaValue/Baader Europe raised its price target by 1.20% to 203 francs.
