Tencent (00700) closed down more than 2%, receiving a net purchase of HK$2,452 billion throughout the day. On October 8, it was reported that Tencent Holdings is considering issuing offshore bonds of up to 5 billion US dollars. This batch of bonds is planned to be denominated in both US dollars and offshore renminbi, and issuance is expected to begin as early as this month. Furthermore, there are recent reports that Tencent's leasing of Oracle's Southeast Asia data center involves about 100,000 advanced AI chips, with a transaction valuation of about 7 billion US dollars.

AIA (01299) received a net purchase of HK$1,318 billion. Bank of America Securities released a research report saying that AIA plummeted 5% on the first day of China's Golden Week holiday, and the Hang Seng Index fell 3% during the same period. According to the bank, the first day of the Golden Week in the past 6 years also saw similar high volatility. The first day's performance did not indicate a trend for the entire month of October. The sharp decline was mainly due to quiet transactions and absence of capital inflows to the south, rather than fundamental issues. Reiterating the “Buy” rating, the target price is HK$95.

Cambridge Technology (06166) received a net purchase of HK$240 million. Jiantao laminated board (01888) and Changfei optical fiber cable (06869) were net sold at HK$235 million and HK$428 million respectively. Fangzheng Securities pointed out that the continued expansion of cloud companies' capital investment is an important support for the current round of the AI hardware market, but the increase in investment scale is not always in sync with the rise in stock prices. Whether the market expectation that the cloud factory capital expenditure growth rate is peaking in this round is true may have great guiding significance for the sustainability of the AI hardware stock market in the future. In addition, Cambridge Technology announced the placement of shares and proposed the issuance of convertible bonds, with a net proceeds of approximately $6.535 billion.

CNOOC (00883) received a net purchase of HK$183 million.
