Genmab, AbbVie Report Positive Results from Phase 3 Trial of Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Treatment

11:57 PM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Genmab GMAB.CO) and AbbVie reported positive results from the phase 3 Epcore DLBCL-2 trial of epcoritamab plus standard of care in patients with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, according to a Monday release. Compared with just the standard of care comprising rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride, vincristine, and prednisone, the combination formulation showed a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in progression-free survival during the trial. The biotechnology companies also observed a 51% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death, with the safety profile for epcoritamab consistent with previously reported profiles. The development partners plan to present study data at a future medical meeting. The companies have also started engagements with regulators worldwide regarding the next steps for the formulation.
