05:28 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fulcrum Metals (FMET.L) secured a 12,526-square-foot site in Mississauga, Canada, to run its first pilot plant for recovering metals from mine waste without cyanide. The London-listed mining company entered into a pilot-scale demonstration agreement with US-based clean technology company Extrakt Process Solutions and engineering services provider Test Design Implement Solutions, or TDI, according to a Monday filing. Under the deal, TDI will run Extrakt's cyanide-free technology at the plant, while Fulcrum supplies the site and retains all project data. Commissioning is expected by the end of 2026 under a six-year lease that began Oct. 1, and includes an option to extend for an extra six years. The facility will process up to 2.4 tonnes of material daily, starting with the funded Teck-Hughes project before Sylvanite and other tailings sites, with a successful test satisfying a key condition for a proposed $20 million royalty financing by Bermuda-based mining royalty company Chancery Royalty.
