Acting President Delci Rodriguez said on national television that Venezuela “is progressing quite smoothly” in obtaining public sector financing and is currently actively seeking financial support for private enterprises. Rodriguez said the talks were aimed at expanding financing channels for Venezuelan companies and entrepreneurs. Rodriguez also said that with renewed support from suppliers, components and technology, Venezuela is working to restore the operation of its power grid. “Restoring relationships with the Inter-American Development Bank Group and our development partners is a key pillar of our economic recovery strategy,” said Economic Vice President Callisto Ortega while welcoming the delegation back to Venezuela.
