In order to implement the relevant requirements of the “Implementation Opinions of Eight Departments Including the Ministry of Commerce on Accelerating the Development of “Artificial Intelligence+Consumption”, further unleash the consumption potential of smart terminal products in Hubei Province, promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and consumption, and improve residents' quality of life at home, Hubei Province has optimized and adjusted the 2026 consumer goods trade-in subsidy policy for new categories. The new regulations will be officially implemented on October 1, 2026. This adjustment was carried out on the basis of the original “2026 Hubei Province Consumer Goods Trade-In and New Category Subsidy Work Plan”. The total number of subsidized categories remained unchanged in 10 categories. All other policy requirements, such as the subsidy application process and review rules, remained unchanged, and only the scope of the subsidized categories was restructured and optimized. In the process of adjustment, original subsidy categories such as smart speakers, smart air purifiers, and ventilators were removed; some categories were split and restructured to establish separate “smart cleaning equipment” categories for floor sweepers and window cleaning robots, which were originally classified as intelligent service robots, and upgraded the capacity of smart dishwashers to “smart kitchen appliances”; at the same time, the content of intelligent service robots was broadened, and products such as physical robots, cooking robots, exoskeleton robots, companion robots/robot dogs were added.
