S&P: UK Final Manufacturing PMI Edges Up in September

04:48 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's manufacturing sector remained in growth territory in September on the back of higher production levels and new orders, although output growth eased "slightly" during the month. The final S&P Global UK Manufacturing PMI stood at 51.9, against the previous month's 51.7 and the flash estimate of 52, S&P Global said Thursday. The latest seasonally adjusted reading marks the 11th consecutive month the index came in above the neutral 50 threshold.
