10:36 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Co (SASE:6070) expects a further delay in work related to its solar power purchase agreement with French utility Engie (ENGI.PA), according to a Wednesday release. The agricultural company now expects completion in the third quarter of 2027, from the previous estimate of the third quarter of 2026. It attributed the delay primarily to contractual, regulatory, and technical procedures tied to modifying the project scope and relocating it to a consolidated site that can integrate with future electrical power sources. Under the 25-year agreement signed in 2023, Engie will supply solar energy to Al-Jouf Agricultural Development's site in the Busaita area in Saudi Arabia, which serves as the industrial complex that includes olive oil and pickle factories and the French fries plant.
