Systemair to Stop Production at Facility in Waalwijk, Netherlands; 70 Jobs Affected

08:32 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Systemair (SYSR.ST) will shut down production at its Waalwijk, Netherlands, facility, affecting 70 employees. The Swedish ventilation group said Tuesday it plans to gradually end production in Waalwijk and supply the Dutch market from its other European facilities. It expects to complete the phase-out at the start of 2027, subject to the outcome of consultations with employees and employee representatives. The restructuring would cost the company 115 million kronor, but is expected to yield 35 million kronor in annual cost savings once completed and generate a capital gain of 40 million kronor if the real estate is sold later.
