The upgrade reflects the "very high likelihood" of the Swiss regional bank receiving cantonal support from the Canton of Bern, its majority owner, according to a Tuesday release. The credit agency also pointed to the lender's solid deposit franchise, sound asset quality and liquid resources, and stable profitability and capitalization.
