Rio Tinto to Market RevoCast's Aluminum Billets Under New Long-term Deal

11:44 PM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Rio Tinto Group (RIO.L) agreed to exclusively market billets from RevoCast Aluminum Billets' Canadian facility under a new long-term deal, according to a Monday release. The deal combines Rio Tinto's low-carbon primary aluminum with RevoCast's recycled aluminum, increasing the supply of low-carbon aluminum billets for extrusion applications in North America. The billets will be produced from RevoCast's casting plant in Langley, British Columbia, which was commissioned in August. Rio Tinto expects the partnership to help its customers boost the recycled and low-carbon content of their products, while strengthening regional supply chains.
