Last week, Dangee Dums Limited (NSE:DANGEE) insiders, who had purchased shares in the previous 12 months were rewarded handsomely. The shares increased by 19% last week, resulting in a ₹82m increase in the company's market worth, implying a 16% gain on their initial purchase. Put another way, the original ₹20.2m acquisition is now worth ₹23.3m.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.
In fact, the recent purchase by Nikul Patel was the biggest purchase of Dangee Dums shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (₹3.26), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.
