Hong Kong stock opening | Hang Seng Index opens 0.96%, Technet shares fall, Alibaba-W (09988) falls more than 2%

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 25, the Hang Seng Index opened 0.96% lower to 24523.50 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 0.99% to 4318.17 points.

Technology Network stocks declined, and Alibaba-W (09988) fell more than 2%; Chow Tai Fook (00659) rose 3.61%, and the company announced full-year results for the year ending June 30, 2026, with net profit of HK$2,392.6 billion, an increase of 11% over the previous year. Among the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Index, Master Kong Holdings (00322), China Biopharmaceuticals (01177), and Xinyi Solar (00968) had the highest gains; Alibaba-W (09988) had the highest losses. Among the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Technology Index, Zhi Spectrum (02513), Tencent Music - SW (01698), and Huahong Semiconductor (01347) had the highest gains; Alibaba-W (09988) had the highest losses.

Overnight, the three major US stock indices developed individually. The US 10-year bond interest rate rose to 5.2 percent, and the market atmosphere was poor.
