Hang Seng Index launches eight new indices covering topics such as technology, semiconductors, hardware technology and computing power

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 23, Hang Seng Indices launched eight new indices. They are Hang Seng Technology Composite Index, Hang Seng Technology Composite Large Cap Index, Hang Seng Technology Composite Small and Medium Cap Index, Hang Seng Semiconductor Industry Index, Hang Seng Hard Technology Index, Hang Seng Computing Power Themed Index, Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Futures Theme Index, and Hang Seng A-share Semiconductor Materials Theme Index. The new index is calculated every two seconds and published in real time.

Hang Seng Technology Composite Index: It aims to provide an index to measure the overall performance of technology companies in the Hong Kong stock market.

Hang Seng Technology Composite Large Cap Index: Reflects the overall performance of large cap technology companies in the Hong Kong stock market.

Hang Seng Technology Composite Small and Medium Cap Index: reflects the overall performance of medium- and small-cap technology companies in the Hong Kong stock market.

Hang Seng Semiconductor Industry Index: Reflects the overall performance of Hong Kong listed companies operating mainly in the semiconductor industry value chain, including design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, integrated solutions and applications of semiconductors and chips.

Hang Seng Hard Technology Index: Reflects the overall performance of Hong Kong listed companies whose main business is related to hard technology, including semiconductor, artificial intelligence, electronic equipment, new energy equipment and other high-end equipment manufacturing.

Hang Seng Hashrate Themed Index: Reflects the performance of Hong Kong listed companies whose business is related to the subject of computing power.

Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Futures Themed Index: Reflects the performance of Hong Kong listed companies that can be traded through Hong Kong Stock Connect and whose business is related to computing power topics.

Hang Seng A-share semiconductor materials theme index: reflects the performance of mainland listed companies whose business is related to semiconductor materials and their applications.
