Cotton Rallying at Monday’s Midday

Cotton futures are trading with contracts 212 to 272 points higher across most nearbys.  Crude oil is down $4.53 per barrel on the session, with the US dollar index back up $0.175. 

China’s President Xi will be in the US this week to meet with President Trump, with trade a topic of conversation. Secretary Bessent headed to China over the weekend to set up talks for next week.

CFTC Commitment of Traders data showed managed money trimming back 2,267 contracts from their net long position in the week of September 15, taking it to 97,903 contracts.

The Seam reported a sales of 2,496 bales on Friday at an average of 77.26 cents.lb. The Cotlook A index was down 205 points on September 18 at 92.30. ICE certified cotton stocks were down 869 bales on 9/18, with the certified stocks level at 35,748 bales. The Adjusted World Price was back down 59 points last week to 68.92 cents/lb.

Oct 26 Cotton  is at 80.1, up 272 points,

Dec 26 Cotton  is at 83.27, up 212 points,

Mar 27 Cotton  is at 85.93, up 214 points
