Novo's Job Reductions Reach 13,000 Over Past Year

In its Capital Markets Day presentation on Monday, the CEO said the job cuts were "necessary" to secure funds for the Danish drugmaker's future and research and development initiatives, and to improve its competitiveness. Meanwhile, London's Financial Times reported the company as saying the same day that most of the additional exits were due to natural attrition and leaving some roles unfilled.
