The number of CNS papers in China increased 125% in 2025 compared to 2021. As of 2026, China's share of CNS papers has increased by 20%, and the US has dropped to 47%. Of all CNS papers included in the statistics this year, the proportion of works written by Chinese scholars alone or in collaboration reached 45%.
