According to Hubei Daily, on September 18, the Wuhan Brain-Computer Interface Concept Verification Center and the Wuhan Future Industry Technology Innovation Scenario Laboratory were officially unveiled at Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The Proof of Concept Center mainly undertakes technical verification work such as animal experiments, researcher-initiated research, and multi-center random double-blind GCP tests to establish a foundation for the safety and application effectiveness of brain-computer interface technology. The Future Industrial Technology Innovation Scenario Laboratory will focus on clinical application, promote the expansion of brain-computer interface technology to various fields such as entertainment, education, and high-risk industries, and establish a complete closed loop of basic research, technology transformation, and industrial implementation.
