On September 18, local time, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced that 11 newly elected countries will join the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors for a term of 2026 to 2028. The election was held on September 17 at the 7th Plenary Session of the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Newly elected members of the Board include Angola, Brazil, Greece, Honduras, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Slovakia and Sweden.
