BPER Banca Finalizes Deal to Sell Six Branches to BCC Iccrea

10:42 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BPER Banca (BPE.MI) signed the definitive transfer agreement to sell six bank branches to BCC Iccrea Group in relation to the former's merger with Banca Popolare di Sondrio. Four of the branches were sold to BCC Busto Garolfo e Buguggiate and two to BCC Cantù, according to a Friday release. The Milan-listed bank said the disposals were carried out in compliance with the Italian Competition Authority's authorization granted in connection with the Popolare di Sondrio deal, which will take legal effect on Sept. 21.
