EU Medicines Agency Panel Issues Positive Opinion on Gedeon Richter's Arthritis Drug

07:51 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended for approval Hungary-based Gedeon Richter's arthritis drug Inijaq, according to a Friday notice. Inijaq, a generic of Pfizer's (PFE.F) Xeljanz, is intended to treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, ulcerative colitis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Xeljanz has been authorized in the EU since March 2017. The drug is subject to final approval from the European Commission.
