The 13th Silk Road International Film Festival, co-hosted by China Central Radio and Television, the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, and the Fujian Provincial People's Government, will open on September 19 in Xi'an, Shaanxi. With the theme of “Silk Road, Light and Shadow Shines in Chang'an”, this year's film festival will host many events such as the opening and closing ceremony, the “Golden Silk Road Award” selection, film screenings, the “Belt and Road” film industry development forum, and AIGC technology and film industry exchanges. Since the launch of the global competition in May of this year, a total of 2,130 film submissions have been received from 139 countries and regions, reaching a record high in coverage. More than 400 films will be screened during the festival, four major screening sections will be set up: cinema, online, outdoor, and campus, and a special screening for the benefit of the public will be launched.
