Overnight, all US stocks closed higher, AI hardware stocks, and chip semiconductor stocks surged

Overnight, US stocks closed at 316.14 points, or 0.61%, up 0.61% from the previous trading day; the S&P 500 stock index rose 85.95 points to close at 7637.76 points, or 1.14%; and the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 439.88 points to close at 26418.3 points, or 1.69%.

AI hardware stocks and chip semiconductor stocks surged, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 3.14%, and tripled the semiconductor ETF-DiRexion surged 10.44%. In terms of individual stocks, Arm rose more than 8%, and Intel rose more than 7%.

The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index rose slightly by 0.16% to 5743.62 points. The Hang Seng Index ADR rose. On a proportional basis, it closed at 24757.55 points, up 153.26 points or 0.62% from the Hong Kong closing.

WTI crude oil futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell $1.34 for the month, or 1.31%, to close at $101.09 a barrel. COMEX gold futures fell $6.90 for the month's consecutive contracts, or 0.16%, to $4380.6 per ounce.
