The US Department of Defense and Lockheed Martin are working to speed up production of a new type of classified air-to-air missile for use by the US Air Force and Navy fighter planes. Lockheed Martin and the US Department of Defense said that the two sides have reached an overall framework agreement and will later sign a multi-year joint advanced tactical missile production contract. This missile is currently still in the development stage, but it is close to being put into production.
