Esprit Global (00330): Received a statutory demand for debt repayment

According to Zhitong Finance App News, Esprit Global (00330) issued an announcement. Regarding arbitration, on September 16, 2026, the company received a statutory demand for debt repayment from a lawyer acting on behalf of the law firm under section 327 (4) (a) (i) of the Companies (Liquidation and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance, Chapter 32 of the Hong Kong Laws, requiring the company to pay US$3.9926 million and HK$42,000. Such payments are amounts that have not been repaid under the ruling disclosed in the previous notice on the date of the statutory demand for debt repayment.

The statutory debt repayment statement requires the company to pay such amounts within 3 weeks after delivery of the statutory demand for debt repayment, or to guarantee or make settlement arrangements for such payments in a manner that the law firm is reasonably satisfied; otherwise, the law firm may file a winding-up petition against the company.

The Company is seeking legal advice on this matter and will take all necessary or appropriate action to protect the overall interests of the Company, its shareholders and stakeholders. The company is currently evaluating the potential impact of the incident on the company's operations and financial situation.
