Berenberg Keeps Syensqo at Hold After London Roadshow

07:33 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg maintained its hold rating on Syensqo (SYENS.BR), with an unchanged price target of 82 euros, following the research firm's London roadshow with the Belgian chemicals company's management. "The management team reflected on a volatile year, which began with a profit warning in February, and has since seen the stock recover. Reasons include refreshed segmental management teams, well-received H1 earnings, promising H2 order books in electronics and other industries, as well as the prospect of divesting units many investors see as dilutive to the polymers-and-composites-driven growth narrative," the research firm said Thursday. "The bull case for Syensqo rests on: i) finding a competitive buyer for the Performance & Care businesses; and ii) the remaining Materials business narrowing the gap with peer Hexcel, a stock that trades on c20x 2026 EV/EBITDA. However, shares have rallied following their early 2026 profit warning, and organic earnings upside is limited, in our view," analysts added. Berenberg left its sales, EBIT, and EPS forecasts for 2026 through 2028 unchanged.
