On September 15, at the “2026 National Cyber Security Awareness Week - Electronic Product Information Removal Sub-Forum” held in Jinan, Shandong, three cybersecurity standard practice guidelines, including “Technical Guidelines for the Erasure of Semiconductor Storage Media Blocks”, “Information Removal Management Guidelines during Electronic Product Recycling”, and “Technical Guidelines for Information Removal in Mobile Smart Terminals”, were officially released to the public. In order to support the implementation of the mandatory national standard of GB 46864-2025 “Data Security Technology Electronic Product Information Removal Technical Requirements” to guide and standardize the implementation of electronic product information removal activities, under the guidance of the Central Internet Information Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments, the National Network Security Standards Committee Secretariat organized more than 30 memory chip manufacturers, electronic product manufacturers, recycling operators, and third party agencies to prepare 3 cybersecurity standard practice guidelines.
