Next plc Posts Higher Fiscal H1 Profit, Revenue

02:25 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Next plc (NXT.L) said Thursday that its attributable profit and revenue for the first half of fiscal 2027 increased year over year. Profit attributable to equity holders of the parent company for the 26 weeks to Aug. 1 was 419.6 million pounds sterling, compared with 379.5 million pounds earlier. EPS moved to 3.585 pounds from 3.177 pounds. The British retailer's revenue was 3.45 billion pounds, compared with 3.14 billion pounds a year ago. Meanwhile, the board declared an interim dividend of 0.98 pound per share for fiscal 2027, payable Jan. 4, 2027, to shareholders on record Dec. 4, 2026. It paid 0.87 pound per share in the year-ago period. Looking ahead, the company expects growth in total product sales of 6% and in total full price sales of 5.8% for the second half of the fiscal year, with total product sales and total full price sales expected to increase 7% and 6.7%, respectively, for the entire fiscal year ending January 2027. Group profit for the fiscal year is expected to grow 8.4% year over year.
