01:50 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Volvo Car (VOLCAR-B.ST), d/b/a Volvo Cars, unveiled plans to launch 13 new regionally tailored car models by the end of 2030, according to a Thursday release. The product plan, including electrified, all-electric and third-generation hybrid cars, will comprise seven new models for the US and Europe, while offering six new cars for China. The Swedish carmaker aims to double its market share by increasing its addressable market in the fully electric and third-generation hybrid segments. In Europe and China, the company expects savings from synergies with Geely. Volvo Cars is targeting a 30% full commonality in parts by 2030, up from 10% as of now. This could translate into a 5% material cost savings by then.
