On September 16, the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Statistics released data on the main indicators of the national economy of Sichuan Province from January to August 2026. In the first 8 months, the value added of industries above the scale of the province increased 6.7% year on year, higher than the national level by 1.4 percentage points. Production of lithium-ion batteries and integrated circuits grew strongly, with year-on-year increases of 80.5% and 20.1%, respectively. New momentum accelerates growth. The industry continues to increase in “new” quantities, “smart” quantities, and “green” quantities, and production of related products is growing rapidly. Among them, smart TVs increased 12.3% year over year, and industrial robots increased 5.3% year over year.
