Entergy has outperformed due to rising electricity demand, particularly from data centers and industrial customers. The company is expanding its regulated infrastructure and generation capacity while securing long-term customer agreements, providing greater visibility into future earnings growth.
In comparison, rival WEC Energy Group, Inc. (WEC) has lagged behind ETR stock. WEC stock has declined 1.6% on a YTD basis and 4.5% over the past 52 weeks.
Due to ETR stock’s outperformance over the past year, analysts are strongly optimistic with a consensus rating of "Strong Buy" from 22 analysts. The mean price target of $123.28 is a premium of 19.5% to current levels.
