11:28 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Prisjakt Sverige plans to take legal action against Alphabet's (ABEA.F) Google, claiming damages of 21.4 billion kronor related to losses it incurred as a result of the tech giant's alleged abuse of its dominant position. The Nordic product and price comparison service will bring the lawsuit before the Patent and Market Court in Stockholm, according to a Wednesday release. Prisjakt accused Google of continuing to favor its own services over competitors after the European Commission concluded that the tech group abused its dominant market position in the so-called Google Shopping case in 2017. Prisjakt also noted the commission's decision in July 2026 that Google violated the European Union's Digital Markets Act by unfairly favoring its own services.
