During the World Trade Organization 2026 Public Forum, China held a symposium on the theme “Collaboration between Industrial Policy and Global Economic and Trade Governance” in Geneva, Switzerland on the 16th to discuss in depth the role and impact of industrial policy, analyze new trends and challenges in global industrial policy development, and put forward opinions and suggestions on how to promote global coordination of industrial policy rules. The seminar was organized by Tsinghua University and brought together experts and scholars from China, the US and Europe, and representatives of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. More than 200 representatives from WTO member governments, private sector, academia and media attended the conference.
