Google has reached its largest carbon removal agreement and has now announced the largest enhanced rock weathering project agreement, covering 200,000 hectares of rice farmland in Brazil. The agreement aims to simultaneously reduce methane and carbon dioxide emissions. Google plans to buy 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent to reduce methane emissions by 2030.
